There have been many things that have occurred throughout my life that has guided me in the direction of teaching. I have always wanted to be a teacher ever since I was little. There was one specific event that sticks out to me when I think about what made me want to become a teacher and that occurred during February if my senior year in high school.
My senior class took a field trip to Broadmoor School, which is a school for special education students. Once there we were assigned groups of students and we did fun activities with them. It was so satisfying to me to see how excited these students would get once they accomplished a task. This confirmed for me that teaching was my future career.
